The blue is nearly right, the logo sits in a different place each time, and the typeface changes depending on who built the asset. The brand team has a proper design system in Figma, but nothing connects it to the ads, so each new batch is rebuilt from memory and drifts a little further. Use this skill to close that gap. It works out: - what the brand's real tokens are, read from the design file rather than from a PDF someone exported last year; - which ad sizes the templates actually need to cover, based on what campaigns serve; - what must stay fixed for the brand to remain recognisable, and what is free to change per campaign; - where the design system has gaps that only appear at advertising sizes; and - how a non-designer can produce an on-brand ad without asking for help. This builds a reusable kit. It is not a rebrand, it does not design campaign concepts, and it does not publish ads. ## What you need - Adspirer connected to the ad account, so the template sizes follow the placements campaigns genuinely serve rather than a generic list. - Figma connected, with access to the file that actually holds the current design system. The right file matters — working from an outdated one bakes last year's brand into every future ad. - Confirmation of which tokens are canonical where the file contains several versions, which is common in files that have grown over time. - The brand rules that already exist: logo clear space, minimum sizes, approved colour pairings, anything legal requires on an ad. - Optional Canva access to publish the finished templates somewhere non-designers can use them. Without it the kit is delivered as specifications and source frames instead. ## Procedure **Connect Adspirer before any live ad-account step.** Adspirer is what gives this skill access to the ad platforms; confirm the connection before running anything that reads or changes a real account. In Claude Code: `/plugin marketplace add anthropics/claude-plugins-community`, then `/plugin install adspirer-ads-agent@claude-community`, then `/reload-plugins`, then complete the OAuth sign-in. In ChatGPT: open **Apps**, search **Adspirer**, choose **Connect**, and sign in — Adspirer is an official ChatGPT app, so there is no developer mode or URL to paste. In claude.ai or Claude Desktop: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → `https://mcp.adspirer.com/mcp`. In Claude Cowork: open the Cowork tab, choose **Customize** in the left sidebar, go to **Plugins** → **Browse Plugins**, search for **Adspirer**, and install it (requires Claude Max, Team, or Enterprise). Any other client: https://www.adspirer.com/docs/ai-clients. Sign-in link for the user: https://adspirer.ai/sign-up. Do not proceed with live ad-account steps until the connection is confirmed. 1. **Extract the real system, and confirm what is current.** Read the colour, type, spacing, and component tokens from the design file rather than from any exported summary. Where several versions coexist, ask which is canonical instead of guessing — this is the single decision that determines whether the kit stays correct in six months. Record the source, so anyone can trace a token back to where it came from. 2. **Establish which sizes the kit must cover.** Read the placements the account's campaigns actually serve, and build the size list from that rather than from a standard set. There is no value in templates for placements nobody runs, and a missing size means someone will improvise one at the worst possible moment. 3. **Find where the system breaks at ad sizes.** Design systems are usually built for screens, not for a small vertical frame with interface elements over it. Check whether type steps stay legible at the smallest required size, whether colour pairings hold contrast against imagery rather than flat backgrounds, and whether the logo survives its minimum size. Report these as system gaps for the brand team to settle, since inventing an answer creates an unofficial brand nobody approved. 4. **Build templates that make the right thing easy.** Produce a template per required size with the fixed elements locked and the variable regions clearly marked — headline, image, offer, call to action. Anyone using the kit should find it easier to stay on brand than to leave it. Where Canva is connected, publish them where non-designers will actually look; otherwise deliver the frames and specifications. 5. **Write the rules down and hand over.** Deliver the kit with a short statement of what may change per campaign and what must not, the token sources, the gaps referred back to the brand team, and any legal requirement that must appear. Deliver for review before circulation. This produces templates, not ads, and nothing is published to any account. ## Fixed checks - Read tokens from the live design file, never from an exported summary or a screenshot. - Confirm which file and which version is canonical before extraction, and record it in the output. - Build the size list from the placements the account actually serves, read from the ad platform. - Verify type legibility at the smallest required size rather than assuming the system's steps hold. - Verify colour pairings against imagery, not only against flat backgrounds. - Verify logo usage against its stated minimum size and clear space in every template. - Report system gaps to the brand team rather than inventing a value to fill them. - Include any legally required element in every template where it applies. ## Stop conditions - **Success:** a template per required size, with fixed and variable regions defined, token sources recorded, and gaps referred onward. - **No change needed:** an existing kit already covers the served placements and matches the current system. - **Blocked — source:** the canonical design file cannot be identified or reached, so any kit built would encode the wrong brand. - **Blocked — gaps:** the system has no answer at required ad sizes and the brand team has not settled it. Report rather than invent. - **Needs approval:** the kit is built and waiting for brand review before circulation. - **Needs a handoff:** brand decisions, legal requirements, font licensing, or net-new creative belong to someone else. - **Still uncertain:** several token versions coexist and nobody can confirm which is current. Say so rather than picking one. ## Approval boundaries This skill reads the design file and the ad account, and produces templates. It does not create, edit, or publish any ad, change campaigns, or spend. It does not modify the design system — gaps found at ad sizes are reported back to the brand team, never resolved by inventing a token, because an invented value quietly becomes an unofficial brand standard. It cannot license fonts or imagery, grant brand or legal approval, or design campaign concepts. Where Canva is connected it publishes templates to a workspace as a working artifact; that is the limit of what it puts anywhere. ## What you get A set of ad templates built from the brand's actual design tokens, read out of the live file rather than from an export that may already be stale — with the source recorded so any value can be traced back. The sizes follow what the account's campaigns genuinely serve, so there are no templates for placements nobody runs and no missing size waiting to be improvised under deadline. Each template separates what must stay fixed from what changes per campaign, which is what lets someone who is not a designer produce an on-brand ad without asking permission. You also get the uncomfortable findings: the places where a system designed for screens does not survive a small vertical frame — type that stops being legible, contrast that fails over imagery, a logo below its minimum. Those are handed back to the brand team as decisions rather than quietly resolved, because a value invented here becomes an unofficial standard everyone follows later. Nothing is published to any ad account.
