Amazon Ads Integration
Adspirer’s newest ad platform brings Amazon advertising to your AI assistant. Create and manage Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display campaigns with 61 specialized tools. Build campaigns from your ASINs and SKUs, run AUTO or MANUAL keyword targeting, get Amazon-native bid and keyword recommendations, and track ACOS and ROAS — all from a conversation. Multi-region advertiser profiles (NA, EU, FE) are discovered and routed automatically, and every campaign is created PAUSED so you can review before it spends.Prerequisites
- An Amazon Advertising account (create one here)
- Products listed on Amazon under a Seller or Vendor account
- Amazon Brand Registry — required for Sponsored Brands campaigns
- Adspirer account connected via Claude Code, Cursor, or any supported AI client
Connecting Amazon Ads
Adspirer connects to Amazon Ads through OAuth using Login with Amazon (LwA). Once you’ve set up Adspirer with your AI client, connect Amazon:- Open your AI assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, etc.)
- Say: “Connect my Amazon Ads account”
- Adspirer opens your browser for Amazon authorization
- Sign in with Login with Amazon and approve the requested permissions (read campaign data, create campaigns, manage budgets)
- On connect, Adspirer imports each Amazon advertiser profile as an ad account — the first becomes active, and you can activate the others later
profile_id) — find them anytime with list_amazon_profiles.

matchType PRODUCT_EXACT, PRODUCT_SIMILAR, PRODUCT_COMPLEMENTS or PRODUCT_REMARKETING, with the ASIN as product: {productId}. An update item must not carry adProduct (a create item must). To remove an audience bid adjustment, send that audience with percentage: null; an empty list changes nothing, and 0 sets the adjustment to 0%.
Large accounts: paging through long lists
Accounts with thousands of product ads or a big asset library used to hit a wall — a long list would be cut off partway through, and the tail was simply unreachable. Three places now page properly:list_amazon_product_adsreturns a continuation token when there is more to fetch, so your assistant can keep going until the list is done. You can also narrow it up front by state or by ad group instead of paging through everything.search_amazon_assetspages through the asset library rather than stopping at the first batch.get_amazon_product_performancereturns the page you asked for. It used to always render the top 20 no matter which page you requested, so ASIN 40 was invisible.
ad_product accepts SP, SB, SD or the full names, and anything else is rejected with an error instead of quietly defaulting to Sponsored Products.
Campaign lists say how many there are. list_amazon_campaigns shows “10 of 37” when a product has more campaigns than one page holds, and returns a next_token you pass back to fetch the next page. Paging works one ad product at a time, so set ad_product to sp, sb or sd before you page; with all, the reply tells you which single-product call to make. Sponsored Display now honors the state filter, as Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands already did.
Reads carry the IDs. Rows from get_amazon_report and analyze_amazon_targeting include the campaign, ad group, and keyword or target ID, so two targets with the same text in different campaigns can be told apart without another call. analyze_amazon_targeting also says “top 20 of 312 by spend” instead of leaving you to guess that rows are hidden. Queries through amazon_unified_api come back as a compact table with an honest count and a next_token, not a raw dump cut off after two rows.
Reach past the first page of a large Amazon account.
Product Targeting and Pre-Flight Checks
Target competitor products and categories.create_amazon_sp_campaign takes product_targets on MANUAL campaigns: a list of {type, value, match, bid} entries where type is ASIN or CATEGORY, value is the ASIN or category ID, and match is EXACT or EXPANDED (ASIN only). Category targets accept refinements for brand, price range, and minimum rating. Pass keywords, product targets, or both. Amazon doesn’t allow them in one ad group, so when you pass both, keywords stay in the first ad group and product targets get their own ”- Products” ad group. If the targeting ends up with zero targets, the create reports a failure with the step to resume from, not a success.
add_amazon_negative_product_targets is the other half: exclude ASINs or brands at the ad group or campaign level.
Eligibility is checked before anything is created. Out-of-stock, suppressed, Buy Box-less, restricted-category, and parent-ASIN products used to fail after the campaign existed, leaving an empty shell. create_amazon_sp_campaign now checks eligibility first. If none of your products can advertise, nothing is created and you get the reason per product. If some can’t, the campaign advertises the eligible ones and lists the ones it skipped. Run check_amazon_product_eligibility yourself while planning.
Names and keywords are cleaned before they go to Amazon. Amazon rejects a whole create over characters like ·, –, —, |, and £/€/¥ in a campaign or ad group name, or over a leading +, quotes, or more than 10 words in a keyword. Separators become -, currency symbols become their ISO code, emoji are removed, and accented and non-Latin letters stay. The result tells you what changed (name_adjusted_from), and keywords that can’t be fixed are dropped with a reason (dropped_keywords) instead of failing the batch. A MANUAL campaign left with no keywords and no product targets reports a failure.
Target competitor ASINs, with a pre-flight check.

ACOS, ROAS, and Amazon-Native Metrics
Amazon reporting uses retail-specific metrics that differ from other ad platforms. Adspirer surfaces them directly:- Impressions, clicks, CTR, spend — standard delivery metrics
- Purchases and sales — units ordered and attributed revenue
- ACOS (advertising cost of sales) — ad spend ÷ attributed sales, expressed as a percentage. Lower is better. ACOS is the metric most Amazon advertisers optimize toward.
- ROAS (return on ad spend) — attributed sales ÷ ad spend. ROAS is the inverse of ACOS: higher is better.
- Per-ASIN / per-SKU performance — see which products your ads are actually selling, not just campaign totals
- Cross-sell / purchased products — what shoppers bought after clicking, even if it wasn’t the advertised ASIN
get_amazon_campaign_performance for the rollup, get_amazon_product_performance for the per-ASIN view, and get_amazon_purchased_products for the cross-sell view.
Reporting is asynchronous
Amazon Reporting v3 generates reports asynchronously. Adspirer requests a report, then polls Amazon until it’s ready, andget_amazon_report retrieves it by report_id once complete. For large date ranges, a report may still be processing when first requested — ask the assistant to check again in a moment, or pass the report_id to get_amazon_report.
Sponsored Brands & Brand Registry
Sponsored Brands supports all 7 ad types — productCollection, video, brandVideo, storeSpotlight, autoCollection, manualCollection, and productCollectionExtended — plus a full creative asset pipeline and keyword, target, and theme management.Finding your brand entity ID
Sellers need abrandEntityId to create a Sponsored Brands campaign, including SB video, and to register a creative asset. list_amazon_brands returns every Brand Registry entity on the profile with its brandEntityId, its brandId, and its registered name.
Read the brand entity IDs on your Amazon profile.
brandEntityId — the long value beginning ENTITY — not the shorter brandId beside it. Each advertiser profile has its own, so a brand you sell under in more than one marketplace has a different ID per profile: ask against the profile you are about to advertise on. Vendor accounts can usually omit the field entirely.
Updates, Budgets, and Failures
- Budget usage defaults to every enabled campaign.
get_amazon_budget_usageno longer needs campaign IDs. Ask “which campaigns are running out of budget?” and it checks all enabled Sponsored Products campaigns on the profile, and says so. - Budget updates take either shape. Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands expect different budget formats, and the assistant used to send the wrong one.
update_amazon_campaignsnow converts, and keeps a lifetime budget type. - Pausing a batch with ended campaigns works. An ended campaign is already not spending, so pausing it counts as done and no longer fails the batch. Resuming an ended campaign is still an error.
- Partial failures are loud. A change where some items failed leads with “N of M failed”. A change where every item failed comes back as an error, so your assistant can’t report it as done.
- UK profiles can create Sponsored Display campaigns. Amazon reports the UK as
UKon profiles but expectsGBon campaigns; Adspirer now translates it.create_amazon_sd_campaignfailed on every UK profile before. - Campaign lists don’t claim “(0)” when a list failed. Amazon caps Sponsored Products and Brands lists at 100 per page, so
max_resultstops out at 100 and you page withnext_token. A section that couldn’t load says why instead of showing an empty count. - Sponsored Brands creates find your brand. If you don’t pass
brand_entity_id,create_amazon_sb_campaignuses the profile’s brand when it has exactly one. With several brands, it returns the list and asks you to choose. Ads are submitted in batches of 10, Amazon’s limit. Keyword recommendations needasinsorlanding_page_url. - Video uploads report their real state.
upload_amazon_assetsends the correct content type for video, waits briefly for the asset to become ACTIVE (or says it is still PROCESSING), and, for Sponsored Brands video, states which spec check failed and by how much. - Amazon tool names sent to the wrong platform are redirected. If an Amazon tool name reaches the Google or Meta tools, the reply points to the
amazon_adsrouter instead of suggesting Google tools.
Best Use Cases for Amazon Ads
- Product launches: Drive visibility for new ASINs that have no organic ranking yet
- Category capture: Show up when shoppers search for your product category (high purchase intent)
- Brand defense and conquest: Protect your branded search and target competitor products with Sponsored Display
- Best-seller scaling: Pour budget into proven ASINs with strong ACOS to grow share
- Cross-sell and catalog depth: Use purchased-products data to find which products to advertise together
Troubleshooting
”Amazon account not connected” error
Re-authenticate with Login with Amazon:list_amazon_profiles and ask the assistant to switch to the correct profile_id (and region) before creating or pulling data.
”Brand Registry required” error on Sponsored Brands
Sponsored Brands campaigns need an enrolled brand. Make sure your brand is in Amazon Brand Registry and that you’ve supplied the brand entity ID — runlist_amazon_brands to read it off the profile. If it returns nothing, the brand is enrolled under a different profile: pass that profile_id and ask again. For productCollection ads, upload a brand logo with upload_amazon_asset first. If you don’t have Brand Registry, run Sponsored Products or Sponsored Display instead.
”Report still processing” / no report data yet
Amazon reports are asynchronous (Reporting v3). The report is requested, then polled until Amazon finishes generating it. If a report isn’t ready on the first try, wait a moment and retrieve it again withget_amazon_report using the report_id. Large date ranges take longer to generate.
Campaign created but not spending
This is expected. Adspirer creates every Amazon campaign PAUSED because campaigns run against production (there’s no Amazon sandbox). Review the campaign, then ask the assistant to resume it withresume_amazon_campaigns.
If you’re using agent skills, the AI enforces the correct workflow automatically.
